Hotel Diana Roof Garden Rome in Roma, open June–November.
Hotel Diana occupies a restored 19th-century Roman palazzo that once served as a private residence for a noble family before its transformation into a hospitality venue in the 1960s.
The property's crowning achievement is its rooftop garden, a 360-degree terrace overlooking the historic Esquiline district with unobstructed views of the city's skyline.
The restoration has preserved original architectural details while introducing modern event infrastructure.
I stayed at Hotel Diana from 28 January to 2 February for my solo birthday trip and my very first time in Rome! I emailed the hotel before arrival to see if I could get one of their renovated rooms and they were more than happy to accommodate me. I had a single renovated room on the 3rd floor. It was small but spotless and had everything I needed- a comfy double bed (super important after two spinal surgeries in the last 14 months!), a nice bathroom with a shower and reliable Wi-Fi. Bonus points for having both USB and USB-C charging points in the room! Breakfast was great. Yes, it’s pretty similar every day but everything was fresh, tasty and exactly what one would need: scrambled and boiled eggs, a selection of ham, cheese and bread, fruit, veggies, cereals, yoghurt, pastries… all yummy. Every single staff member I met- housekeeping, reception, restaurant, porters- was kind, friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect too. Easy walking to all of Rome’s top attractions plus lots of buses and Termini station nearby. Huge thanks to everyone at Hotel Diana for making my first Rome trip so wonderful! ☺️
