Our experience with this hotel was deeply disappointing and frankly shocking. We booked the hotel almost a year in advanced. Due to the unforeseen event of the widely reported French farmers’ strikes, we were physically unable to reach the hotel on our scheduled check-in date of the 17th. Transport routes out of Toulouse were blocked and services suspended , circumstances entirely beyond our control. We contacted the hotel to inform them that we would be unable to check in and would hopefully arrive the next day. We did not ask for a refund. We did not ask for compensation. All we requested was a simple, one-day change of check-in to the 18th, as we were stranded at our departure location with no available means of travel. Despite the exceptional circumstances, the hotel showed zero flexibility, understanding, or basic human decency. Their rigid refusal to accommodate a one-night date change — when the room would otherwise be empty — speaks volumes about how little they value their guests. We were told we would have to cancel our booking, lose our original payment and then re-book. We were then told that we would be unable to re book if we canceled due to the hotel being full. This was not a case of poor planning or a last-minute whim; it was a major national disruption affecting thousands of travelers. The hotel’s response felt purely transactional and completely devoid of empathy. If you are looking for a place that treats guests as people rather than booking numbers, look elsewhere. Should anything go wrong on your journey, even something entirely outside your control, do not expect understanding or support from this establishment.
