01 · In a sentence

Hôtel le Sud in Antibes, open JuneSeptember.

Guests arrive at this intimate Mediterranean hotel on Antibes's charming Rue Marcel Paul, where the Côte d'Azur unfolds steps away.

The 34-room property welcomes wedding parties with direct beach access and a sun-soaked terrace where receptions flow seamlessly from aperitifs to dinner.

Attendees depart with memories of salt-tinged air, locally-sourced Provençal cuisine, and the kind of coastal ease that defines the French Riviera.

Everything was good, a smaller pool in a cozy backyard area. The owner has clearly tried to put thought into details like always having a water bottle waiting for you at the room, the breakfast, and the decor of the hotel, but the carpet is outdated and while most things seem clean- I was very turned off by the smell of damp in the bathroom and the lack of lighting to get ready in the morning. We had a car and it was hard to find parking, which is understandable coming in the beginning of August. The beach is close but still a bit of a walk, same with Old Town, where most restaurants and things to do are. Overall it’s a good budget option if your expectations are not too high.
