Grecotel Daphnila Bay in Dassia 490 83, open April–August.
Grecotel Daphnila Bay originated as a traditional Corfiot estate in the 1980s before undergoing comprehensive restoration to become a luxury beachfront resort.
Built directly on Dassia's pristine shoreline, the property preserves its original Mediterranean architecture while offering contemporary five-star amenities across 10 hectares of landscaped grounds.
The venue seamlessly integrates Ionian Sea views with authentic Greek hospitality, providing 289 rooms and multiple event spaces for celebrations of 20 to 150 guests.
We had a great stay here — honestly, I was pleasantly surprised after reading some mixed reviews beforehand. The staff were super friendly and hardworking, always keeping everything clean and making sure guests were comfortable. The food options were great, and the setting is just beautiful. We stayed in one of the bungalows, and yes, as others mentioned, it could use a bit of maintenance and updating, but that really didn’t bother us. The only downside was that the room felt quite damp, so the ventilation could definitely be improved. The pool area is amazing (though the water was a bit chilly during our October stay!). The kids’ club was fantastic — lots of great activities to keep the wee ones busy and entertained. The location is a bit secluded, but the hotel shuttle and taxis make getting around easy enough. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be to add some more affordable laundry options — maybe a self-service setup — since the hotel laundry service can end up a bit pricey for young families (hard on laundry), so having a more practical option would make a big difference. The walk from the main hotel to the beach was totally fine for us — a bit hilly, but our under-5s managed it happily. We saw some reviews complaining about the steep hill but there is a car ride offered up and down if you need a lift. Overall, it’s a lovely spot and a great choice for families!
