Grand Hotel Tritone in Praiano.

Grand Hotel Tritone occupies a restored 1950s clifftop residence overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea in Praiano, a village perched on the Amalfi Coast's dramatic vertical landscape.

The property underwent comprehensive renovation to preserve its period architecture while introducing modern hospitality infrastructure, maintaining panoramic terraces that cascade toward the water.

This 4.7-rated venue hosts ceremonies and receptions across multiple levels, with direct access to a private beach platform 57 meters below.

We were looking to stay just outside of Positano to avoid the crowds and Grand Hotel Tritone was the perfect choice for our honeymoon! GHT is much more reasonably priced than similar luxury hotels in the area. If you are looking to leave the hotel, it is a bit of a journey, but anything that isn’t right in the middle of a town on the Amalfi Coast is always going to be difficult to navigate. Expect to pay $30-$50 each way for a taxi into town (which the front desk is happy to arrange for you), but they do offer a free shuttle to/from Praiano each night as well. They also offer boat taxis as well which is a great way to see the coast (and the beautiful hotel/stairs) from the water! Luckily, you really don’t need to leave the hotel if you don’t want to! They have multiple restaurants on site and a great private beach club! Pros: - incredible private beach club - spacious, clean, and updated rooms - THE OWNERS DOGS!!! - boat transfers/pick up from private dock - our room was ready upon arrival (noon) - staff were all extremely accommodating and professional Cons: - dinner options weren’t our favorite, it was more fine dining than what we were looking for (highly recommend Da Armandino and Kasai in Praiano)
