01 · In a sentence

FirstName Bordeaux - JDV by Hyatt in Bordeaux, open AprilAugust.

FirstName Bordeaux occupies a meticulously restored 19th-century building in the heart of Bordeaux's historic center, transformed into a contemporary Hyatt property that honors its architectural heritage while offering modern luxury.

Originally constructed during the city's golden age as a wine trading hub, the structure retains original stonework and period details alongside sleek interiors designed by JDV.

This 4-star hotel serves as an elegant backdrop for intimate to mid-sized celebrations within walking distance of Bordeaux's UNESCO-listed old town.

A very reliable choice. Exceptionally friendly, funny and helpful staff including an excellent cleaning service. Various complimentary drinks and snacks were good quality. Breakfast was good but not essential as there were good options nearby. Pretty quiet, just the bell of the tram from time to time and nearby birdsong.
