This beachfront hotel retains authentic Greek island architecture—whitewashed walls, timber beams, and stone foundations—transformed into an elegant venue.
The restoration preserved the building's historical bones while adding amenities that serve 20 to 150 guests across ceremony and reception spaces.
I honestly could not recommend El Mar in Naxos enough. It is such a beautiful, modern, clean and aesthetic hotel. The location was perfect too. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from the busy town center, so it felt peaceful but still really close to everything you need. A huge shout out to Anastasia at reception. She was amazing. So helpful, kind and full of brilliant recommendations for restaurants and things to do. She even helped us book a car. Everyone who worked there was lovely, but Anastasia was a real standout and made our stay feel so seamless. The breakfast was delicious with loads of choice. The whole place was spotless and quiet. We went in early September which probably helped with the peaceful vibe. The pool area was gorgeous and at night you can see the town lit up which is such a stunning view. We got engaged on this trip, so El Mar and Naxos now have a really special place in our hearts. I would recommend both the hotel and the island to anyone. It was the perfect mix of relaxed and lively, with great food and really reasonable restaurant prices. Thank you so much to the whole team, especially Anastasia, for making our stay unforgettable.
