The ballroom seats up to 300 with daylight down one side, and the gardens, terraces and pool deck take the ceremony and the drinks.
Quinta do Lago itself bought the hotel and reopened it in March 2026 after a refurbishment that added a new bar designed by Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, so the interiors are current rather than 2012.
What Conrad is for is the wedding that is too big for a quinta and too formal for a beach club: a Saturday for 200 to 300 people who want air conditioning, a proper dance floor, one bill and a hotel to sleep in.

The ballroom takes up to 300 people and is the reason most large Algarve weddings end up here. Smaller parties use the gardens, the terraces and the poolside, which suit 50 to 150 without the room feeling empty.
Is there anywhere outdoors for the ceremony?+
The hotel gardens, outdoor terraces and pool area are all used for ceremonies and drinks. There is no chapel on site; couples wanting a church use one in Almancil or Loulé, both within 15 minutes.
What changed in the 2026 refurbishment?+
Quinta do Lago acquired the hotel and closed it for around five weeks over the winter of 2025 to 2026, reopening in March with new food and drink spaces including a bar designed by Bryan O’Sullivan Studio. Trade press covered the reopening.
Can we use the beach at Quinta do Lago?+
Praia do Ancão is about 10 minutes from the hotel across the estate boardwalk and is used for welcome parties and day-after lunches. Beach events are arranged through the estate rather than the hotel, so ask early.
How far is Faro airport?+
About 20 minutes by car, which is the shortest airport run of any large-capacity venue in the Algarve. Vilamoura is 15 minutes west and Faro old town 20 minutes east if guests want a base with more to walk to.
