Balinese pieces from their years abroad set against Tuscan antiques, before opening it as a boutique hotel in 2003.
It still reads as a lived-in aristocratic-bohemian house that happens to be a thousand years old, handed to one group at a time: ten suites and a two-bedroom villa sleeping about thirty, with partner venues nearby absorbing another hundred-plus guests.
