Casa do Barão occupies a stately 18th-century palace in Lisbon's historic Baixa district, its ochre facade and wrought-iron balconies overlooking the Tagus River and São Jorge Castle from Rua da Emenda.
Period architectural details—soaring ceilings, azulejo tiles, and ornate wooden doors—frame intimate ceremony and reception spaces within the building's restored interiors.
The venue operates as a luxury hotel with 25 guest rooms, allowing wedding parties to celebrate without travel between locations.
This place is incredible - 10 out of 10. The hospitality, the food and the amenities were all top notch. We flew to Lisbon from Canada arriving at the bnb at 730am expecting to drop our luggage and leave but they had our room ready which was a life saver given we had just come off a red eye flight. Madalena was such delightful host, helping us settle in with such a warm and gentle welcome. She put a smile on our face every time we came in and out through our stay. The breakfast did not disappoint! So much fresh fruit, baked goods, bread, cheese and juice. It was great that they offered desserts for guests throughout the day. We looked forward to a brownie or slice of cake after dinner or in the afternoon. The property is a slice of paradise in the bustling city. The backyard is very lush with plants and offers lots of space to lounge, read and relax. The environment creates a great place to meet other guests and interact with the hosts. We can’t wait to be back!
