Stayed here recently! Got a really good deal on bed and breakfast and had never been so wanted to try it. Checked in and the room was incredible- smelt amazing, bed was soft and it had a little bucket for ice and robes and our room had a bath with the BEST water pressure and amazing products! We then had dinner that evening- I got the duck which fell apart and just the veg and the mash were incredible! Had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which again, incredible! The staff were all so friendly but let you enjoy your meal without checking in too much in that way some places do! Had breakfast the next morning and everything was so so fresh and so good! Did not have to check out til 12 which meant an amazing lie in and I’ve just never come away from a hotel feeling so good and refreshed

I stayed for one night on a sort of work trip. I was first hit by a welcoming smell of an open fire, then a friendly receptionist who walked me to my room. Bedroom was immaculate and well decorated. I got free tea and cookies on request. I also had beautiful dinner that evening with a great service. Finished off the January evening in front of the open fire with a Bailey's Coffee and some more complimentary cookies ☺️

Staying in the hotel for 2 nights. This evening asked for a table for dinner for 2 for 7pm. We were told there was no tables available until 7.45pm. There was an empty table for 2 for quite a while. While we were sitting at the bar a couple with no reservation came in they got a table straight away. When I complained we were given a table at 7.30pm. This is the way you are treated at this hotel. Customer service nil. We even had to wait longer to pay our bill. Thanks Una. We arrived at the restaurant before 6pm. Asked for a table for 7pm. I can understand the restaurant was busy. We stayed at the bar until we were given a table. That does not explain why we were left waiting for a table when another couple could be given a table before us. They weren't left waiting. Maybe one staff member should be in charge of allocating tables instead of a free for all. We were offered a free drink each , we declined. When we were paying the bill ,the lady in the pink top and black trousers said we got a reduction on our bill. We didn't. She pointed to the wine glasses. We had paid for the wine at the bar. Not good customer service.
