Bratsera Hotel in Idra 180 40.
Built in 1860 as a traditional sponge factory, Bratsera Hotel has been meticulously restored to preserve its Hydra Island heritage while offering modern luxury.
The original stone architecture and timber beams remain intact, creating an authentic Aegean setting for weddings.
Located on Tompazi 2 in the heart of Hydra, this 4-star property sits 180 meters above sea level with sweeping Saronic Gulf views.
Whilst staying in Hydra, my husband and I went for dinner at the Bratsera Hotel. From the moment we were welcomed through the door, we knew we were in for a wonderful experience. The ambiance and the setting of the restaurant were spectacular, and the service was of equally top quality. We opted to share a Tuna Niçoise salad to start, which was hands-down the best Niçoise salad I’ve ever had. It was incredibly fresh, and the flavours absolutely sang. For the main course, I opted for the oxtail orzo, which was, again, packed full of flavour and a hearty portion. The whole experience was faultless, and I thought the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. I would absolutely recommend a visit to the Bratsera Hotel restaurant if you're visiting Hydra, as it was sublime from start to finish.
