01 · In a sentence

Borgo Colognola in Cenerente, open JuneNovember.

Borgo Colognola stands apart as a working agrarian estate in Umbria's Cenerente region, offering guests an authentic rural immersion rather than a polished resort experience.

This restored medieval hamlet functions as both a functional farm and intimate hotel, allowing couples to marry within active countryside operations—vineyards, olive groves, and stone buildings spanning centuries.

The venue's working identity creates a genuinely grounded alternative to purpose-built wedding destinations.

Last September we had our wedding at the Borgo and it couldn't have been more perfect! The place is breathtaking and it felt like home. All the apartments were spaceous, in style and had everything we needed. Our guests loved it! Francesca is an heartwarming owner and made sure we had an unforgettable time! She took care of things we didn't even know she would, so we would have all the time to relax and enjoy! We are still so happy we choose this place for our special day! We wanted a relaxed, personal and easygoing wedding and this venue gave us all of that. This place has a special place in our hearts and we will be back! Francesca, thank you again everything!

07 · Questions

Asked along the way.

Can we have both ceremony and reception at the venue?+

Yes. The estate offers multiple ceremony spaces including a private chapel, garden areas, and courtyard terraces, with reception facilities in restored barn structures and the main dining hall.

Are accommodations included with wedding packages?+

Guest rooms are available separately. The 12+ rooms within the borgo can be reserved for wedding parties; pricing and availability should be confirmed directly with the venue.

What is the season for weddings here?+

Spring through fall are optimal. The venue operates year-round, but April-October offers the most reliable weather and full access to outdoor ceremony spaces and estate activities.

Can we customize the menu with local ingredients?+

The on-site restaurant works directly with the estate's agricultural production, allowing menus built around seasonal harvests, wines, and oils produced on the property.

Is there flexibility with wedding day timing?+

Contact the venue directly for specific timeline options. As a working farm estate, some agricultural operations continue during events, which can be factored into ceremony and reception scheduling.
