Bettoja Hotel Massimo d'Azeglio in Roma, open June–November.
Built in 1875, Bettoja Hotel Massimo d'Azeglio stands as a distinguished Roman palazzo that has welcomed guests through three centuries of Italian history.
Originally constructed during the Belle Époque era, the building underwent comprehensive restoration to preserve its classical architecture while integrating modern hospitality amenities.
Located on Via Cavour just steps from the Colosseum, this 4-star property offers wedding ceremonies and receptions within authentic 19th-century interiors.
I was pleasantly surprised by how good the hotel was! The rooms were spotless and the staff were incredibly helpful. Housekeeping would visit daily to tidy up and always left fresh towels—a rarity in many hotels these days. The breakfast was alright; the variety could have been improved, but I wasn’t too bothered. The only downside was the heat, which sometimes made it difficult to breathe. Overall, everything else was wonderful.
