My wife and i had a wonderful evening enjoying appetizers and wine by the fire in the main dining room. We ordered the Abalone which was outstanding. The bread was outstanding. The wine was very good. The service was absolutely perfect. My only problem was we ordered a baby iceberg lettuce salad and it came out as a wedge salad.. I mentioned it to the waiter to tell the chef that we know the difference. Here. In the Monterey area there are a lot of Produce people that dine here. We know the difference. The baby lettuce is very tender and sweet. The iceberg wedge was very firm and over ripe.. It should be brought to the customers attention that they are substituting iceberg for baby lettuce. They are two different items. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.
