Albergo Santa Chiara in Sarteano, open June–November.
Albergo Santa Chiara rises from the Tuscan hills near Sarteano, commanding views across rolling vineyards and clay valleys that stretch toward the Val d'Orcia.
This former convent, converted into a hotel, preserves centuries of architecture while offering stone terraces and gardens positioned at 573 meters elevation.
Ceremonies take place against backdrops of cypress groves and distant hilltop villages, with reception spaces housed within the original monastery walls.
If you’re looking for a calm and beautiful place to relax and unwind, this is the perfect spot. We really enjoyed our stay. Mélodie was a wonderful host and even prepared vegan breakfast and dinner for us. And Albert, the dog, was definitely an extra bonus!
