Ana Badillo Photography is a Cabo San Lucas-based team led by Ana Badillo, who has photographed more than 400 weddings across Baja California Sur over 14-plus years. Where in Los Cabos you are actually shooting
Los Cabos is a corridor rather than a single town: the resort strip runs from Cabo San Lucas at the tip to the quieter colonial town of San José del Cabo, and where your venue sits on it changes the day. From Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) it is 30 to 45 minutes to Cabo San Lucas and 15 to 20 minutes to San José del Cabo, so a ceremony at one end and portraits at the other spends real time in a car. El Arco, the sea arch at Land's End, sits off Cabo San Lucas, and the ceremony sites with a view of it are the most sought after in the area. Ask a photographer you shortlist which stretch of the corridor they work in most, whether travel between sites is billed separately, and how many weddings they have shot at your venue.
The light you are booking, month by month
October to April is the dry season and the most reliable window for an outdoor ceremony, running 75 to 90°F with near zero rainfall. May and June stay hot and dry with excellent visibility, and a ceremony after 4pm keeps the party out of the midday glare. July to September is the hottest stretch and carries the highest chance of a tropical storm, heaviest in August and September, so an indoor backup matters more than a golden-hour plan. December and January are the most booked and most expensive weeks of the year. The region averages over 300 sunny days a year, which is why so much of the photography here is shot outdoors. Top resort venues book 12 to 18 months ahead for peak dates, so your date is usually fixed well before you choose who photographs it.
Which language the contract is written in
Los Cabos works in Spanish and English, so a couple booking from abroad can usually correspond in English throughout. Two things are still worth settling in writing rather than in an email thread: which language your contract and delivery terms are written in, and who you reach on the day if the schedule slips. Ask whether the person answering your enquiry is the person holding the camera, and if a second shooter is included, ask to see their work too rather than only the lead's.

How far in advance should I book?+
For weddings, they recommend reaching out 4 to 12 months before the big day since Cabo is a popular destination and the best dates go fast. For couples sessions, 1 to 3 weeks is usually plenty of time to plan. If a date is closer than expected and they're available, they'll still try to make it work.
How many photographers will be at my event?+
It scales with coverage hours: 1-2 hours gets 1 photographer, 3-5 hours gets 2 photographers, and 6 hours or more gets 3 photographers.
How many photos will I receive?+
It depends on the package chosen, each of which includes its own number of edited images. Packages over 6 hours also include 1,000+ original, straight-from-camera unedited photos delivered digitally as a bonus.
When will I receive my photos?+
Family session galleries are ready within 1 week. For weddings and couples sessions with 5 or more hours of coverage, a sneak peek of 10 to 15 hand-selected images arrives within 72 hours, with full edited galleries following per the package timeline.
