Claire & Thomas

Claire and Thomas had the biggest destination wedding challenge: 90 guests from six countries, all converging on a small Greek island with limited airport capacity. Aisle helped them coordinate flights, ferries, hotels, and a three-day celebration without a single logistics mishap.

Choosing Santorini

Claire fell in love with Santorini on a girls' trip three years before the wedding. When Thomas proposed, she already knew exactly where she wanted to get married — the terrace at Rocabella Hotel in Imerovigli, overlooking the caldera at sunset. Thomas agreed immediately. The only question was whether they could pull off a 90-person wedding on an island where everything needs to be transported by narrow roads or donkey.

The scale of coordination

Ninety guests from the US, Canada, UK, France, Australia, and Greece. Santorini's small airport means most international guests needed to connect through Athens, and some chose to take the ferry from Piraeus instead. The couple booked room blocks at three hotels in Imerovigli and Fira, with different shuttle schedules for each. Claire had a spreadsheet with over 200 rows tracking guest flights, hotel assignments, dietary restrictions, and event RSVPs. It was a full-time job.

Switching to Aisle

A friend who'd used Aisle for her Tulum wedding recommended it. Claire migrated everything in one weekend — the AI assistant let her add guests in bulk ("Add Sarah Chen, Mike Roberts, and the Dubois family — put them all at Rocabella") and set up events with natural language. The biggest relief was the personalized portals: each guest could see their own hotel, their shuttle pickup time, and their meal selections without Claire having to send individual emails.

Managing 90 RSVPs

With four events across three days, tracking who was attending what was a nightmare on spreadsheets. Aisle's per-event RSVP made it simple — guests could accept the welcome dinner but skip the catamaran cruise, for example. Claire could see in real time that 82 people were confirmed for the ceremony, 75 for the reception, and 45 for the optional cruise. This let her give accurate headcounts to every vendor weeks in advance.

The wedding

Everything went off without a hitch. The welcome dinner at a taverna in Oia had guests mingling over Greek wine and meze. The ceremony on the Rocabella terrace at golden hour was exactly what Claire had pictured three years ago. The reception featured Greek dancing, a live band, and a sunset that looked too perfect to be real. The farewell catamaran cruise the next day — swimming in the caldera with their closest friends — was Thomas's favorite moment. "The fact that 90 people made it to a tiny Greek island and nobody ended up at the wrong hotel or missed an event is honestly a miracle," Claire said. "That miracle was Aisle."

What a guest said

I connected through Athens and took the ferry. The wedding website had my exact ferry time, hotel shuttle pickup, and check-in details. I didn't have to think about anything.
