The Medici held it from the early 1400s; the current family has run it since 1950 and turned it into a working wine resort.
The pieces a wedding needs are all on the land: the villa Altaserra and converted winery and farmhouse buildings sleeping up to fifty, an Italian formal garden and panoramic terrace, a working barriccaia for cellar dinners, and the estate’s own consecrated church, Santa Maria in Selvamaggio, for real on-site ceremonies.
Weddings are exclusive-use only, with published nightly rates and a three-night minimum, which makes it one of the more transparent buyouts in Tuscany.
