Traveling to the Amalfi Coast? Stop searching, as you have found the perfect place and the ideal host. Villa Fortuna is a warm welcoming place located in the heart of Positano, and Diana will make you stay an experience worthy of your proverbial bucket list. We rented Jasmine Flower, which is the top floor of this lovely home. Its spacious accommodations, which include a kitchen and an extra bedroom, make this the perfect place to stay. But then you follow the stairs up from the kitchen to a roof deck that truly puts this space over the top. The views are tremendous, be it while enjoying your morning coffee or toasting the day's adventures every evening. It was our happy place throughout the vacation. Speaking of coffee, a quick jog downstairs and out the door finds you at Yogoloso Positano, a delightful source for your morning fix. Fast and friendly, it was the perfect way to shake away the sleepiness, which you'll enjoy in the comfy beds at Villa Positano. Across the street is a tobacconist who stocks all sorts of provisions and most importantly, water, which you'll need for your daily treks. The bus stops right in front, making it utterly convenient as you explore the towns that line the Amalfi Coast. Positano is beautiful and very walkable, but what comes down must go up - be prepared to walk the stairs as you enjoy all the local attractions, shops and fantastic restaurants. Once you are ready to venture beyond Positano, Villa Fortuna is the perfect home base for your daily excursions. We ventured to Capri via the water taxi that departs from Positano. We bussed to Amalfi and Ravello (don't miss the lovely gardens there). We trekked to Pompeii vis bus and private transport, and enjoyed a spectacular day with an amazing tour guide. And feeling adventurous, we took a bus to the Path of the Gods, and hiked our way back to Positano for a once in a lifetime experience. At the end of every day, we returned to our home away from home and enjoyed all that Positano has to offer. And Diana made our trip easy and stress free. She arranged for our transport to and from Villa Positano to the airport. She made reservations at a local cafe for a private cooking class, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. She recommended a great local boat tour so we could all enjoy a day on a sailboat with a truly engaging captain - Mario can both sail and sing! And when it was time for drinks and dinner, Diana's recommendations were always spot on. In short, she is an amazing hotelier, concierge and friendly guide, and elevated our trip from special to spectacular. Please look no further - you have found the place, the space and the best host on the Amalfi Coast. My family and I look forward to returning someday soon. Highly and enthusiastically recommended!
