We had an incredible stay at Uga Riva in Colombo. The property itself is a beautifully restored colonial house with just 8 rooms, which makes it feel really private and special. The grounds are stunning and perfectly maintained – a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and full of character. We were also really touched by the effort the team made to acknowledge our honeymoon – those small details made a big difference. What truly stood out, though, was the food. It was honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. The breakfast in particular was exceptional and set the bar for the rest of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. The staff were consistently warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, which made the whole experience even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a boutique, intimate stay with outstanding food and service.
