There are 29 places to sleep and no two categories are alike: suites in the Granite Lodge, rooms in a converted 1800s barn, standalone log homes, and canvas cabins on platforms by the creek.
Rates start around $1,800 a room a night plus a 20 percent ranch fee and are all-inclusive, which here means every meal, all drinks, and the fly fishing, riding, sporting clays and guiding that fill the days between the parties.
Weddings take a buyout of the whole ranch, minimum three nights, and five in peak summer.

How many guests can The Ranch at Rock Creek host?+
Up to 125 for a wedding, with a buyout of all 29 accommodations. Not everyone sleeps on the ranch at that number, so larger guest lists usually put the overflow in Philipsburg or Georgetown Lake and shuttle them in.
Does a wedding here require a buyout?+
Yes. A wedding takes all of the ranch’s accommodation and services for a minimum of three nights, and five nights in peak summer between mid-May and Labor Day. Spring, autumn and winter buyouts are easier to get and cost less.
What is included in the rate?+
Rooms start around $1,800 a night plus a 20 percent ranch fee, and the rate is all-inclusive: every meal, all drinks, and the activity programme of fly fishing, riding, sporting clays, hiking and guiding. Wedding costs sit on top of that.
Which airport do guests fly into?+
Missoula Montana Airport is about 90 minutes north and has the best connections. Bozeman Yellowstone is roughly three and a half hours, and Butte is closer at about an hour and a quarter with fewer flights.
What do guests do during the weekend?+
The ranch runs its own programme, so nothing needs booking from outside: fly fishing on four miles of private Rock Creek, riding out into the hills, sporting clays, archery, and in winter skiing on the ranch’s own hill.
When is the best time for a Montana ranch wedding?+
June to September for long evenings and warm days, with wildflowers in June and dry heat in August. September brings gold in the larch and cooler nights. Winter is snowbound and quiet, and the buyout is cheapest then.
