The 45 villas are laid out in low grey planes of paras kelating, a local sandstone cut by hand, set between the beach and the rice terraces with Batukaru mountain behind.
There is a kilometre of black sand in front, unbuilt and empty, and no resort strip in either direction.

How many guests can Soori Bali hold?+
The Soori Lawn, on the west side of the property and doubling as the helipad, is quoted at a maximum of 200 people. The beach lawn in front of the villas takes a smaller sunset ceremony on the black sand.
Can our guests stay on the property?+
A large part of them. There are 45 villas from one bedroom upward, plus the ten-bedroom Soori Estate with five pools and a helipad. Given the drive from anywhere else in Bali, a room block here is close to mandatory rather than optional.
What does a wedding at Soori cost?+
Planner listings report a starting price from IDR 345,000,000 net and a 30-guest package from about USD 55,400, which puts Soori at the expensive end of this collection. Both are planner-reported; Soori quotes each wedding after enquiry.
How far is Soori from the airport and Seminyak?+
Ngurah Rai International (DPS) is about 90 minutes southeast, roughly 55 km. Seminyak and Canggu are an hour away. Tanah Lot temple is 30 minutes and is the nearest thing to an excursion your guests can do in an afternoon.
What is a black sand beach like for a wedding?+
It photographs unlike anywhere else in Bali, dark and matte rather than bright, and the volcanic sand gets hot in the middle of the day. Late afternoon ceremonies are the norm. The surf on this coast is stronger than in Jimbaran, so swimming is limited.
When is the season here?+
April to October is the dry season and the wedding season. Tabanan is the rice-growing heart of Bali, so the fields behind the property change colour through the year, which is worth asking about when you pick a month for photographs.
