Six Senses Ibiza in Portinatx, open May – August.
A 20-acre resort on Xarraca bay at the northern tip of Ibiza, opened in 2021 and the first Six Senses in Europe.
The northern coast is the quiet half of the island: the clubs are an hour south, and the land around the bay is protected, so the resort has a stretch of shoreline and a set of sea caves largely to itself.
Weddings run on the beach and the terraces above it, and Six Senses is one of very few Ibiza venues that can put a ceremony directly in front of the water on private land rather than a public beach.
The resort has 116 rooms, suites and pool villas plus a separate nine-suite estate, the Can Xarraca, that can be hired on its own.

Asked along the way.
How many guests can Six Senses Ibiza host?+
Planner listings put weddings at up to about 250 guests, while the resort’s own event capacity chart runs much higher for cocktail formats. Two hundred and fifty is the sensible planning number for a seated wedding on the beach terraces.
Do we need to buy out the resort?+
Not necessarily. Six Senses offers partial and full buyouts. Without one, the resort keeps trading around you, which is fine for a smaller group and much less good for a 200-guest weekend, so most large weddings take the full property.
Can the ceremony be on the beach?+
Yes, and that is the reason most couples choose it. The resort holds its own frontage on Xarraca bay, so a ceremony can be staged at the water without the permits and passers-by that come with a public Ibiza beach.
What is Can Xarraca?+
A nine-suite estate of about 3,000 square metres within the resort, available for private hire. It works as a wedding-party house for the immediate family, or on its own for a small celebration that does not need the whole resort.
How far is the airport, and the town?+
Ibiza airport is about 45 minutes by road, crossing the island from south to north. Ibiza town and the club strip are a similar distance, which is the trade-off: the setting is quiet, and nothing is walking distance.
