My guests called it “the best venue in Houston.” When my now husband and I toured Sandlewood for the first time, instantly we knew it was the one. Not only was it beautiful, but there was a level of professionalism and attention to detail that was leagues above what we had experienced touring other venues. Not only are they extremely responsive/ communicative, I felt like they were able to make small adjustments to our day that were just for us, like making us our favorite lychee martinis or providing the grooms with energy drinks instead of beer while getting ready. My husband who didn’t have many opinions about much during wedding planning said his one must was that this had to be our venue. The groom quarters was a fantastic touch. Whereas most venues have a small room for the groom and groomsmen, they had a whole house to themselves. It really helped my husband feel more special the day of. The bridal suite was so spacious and stunning. You get the entire top floor of the manor house, and it was such a stress relief. 1) not everyone was packed in a tiny room and 2) we didn’t have to worry about making sure the place was pristine for pictures. We could also steam the dresses in a different room which helped a lot with the heat and humidity in the room, which is especially important while doing hair and makeup! The manor house itself was such a nice and intimate space to have cocktail hour. It gave a homey vibe that made it feel like we were just having drinks with family and friends as we often do. The horses were a big hit with the kids, and they were able to feed them carrots and apples! Now the ballroom. Wow. the chandeliers are stunning. The bar is top notch. The bar was serviced with 5 bartenders and two others working in the back. Every time I looked over to the bar, there was not a single line, and this was very important to me having spent a lot of time in bar lines as a wedding guest myself. I had a vision of taking pictures outside in the vineyard and doing our private vows outside during our wedding day. Unfortunately, the day of, it rained. However, I was not even stressed because the venue had soooo many beautiful places to take pictures and do our private vows. We ended up using one of the many balconies, and I couldn’t have been more happy with the pictures. The guest experience is highly detailed. They use golf carts to transport guests from the parking lot to the venue so that they don’t have to walk in heels on the gravel. There were three open bars during cocktail hour so no one had to wait. Plenty of seating for all guests. Accommodations for our guests with mobility issues. Lots of places for the guests to walk around and take pictures, I could go on and on. Lastly, I need to give a shout out to Macey. She was amazing during the whole process from start to finish, replying to my emails in SECONDS. Thanks for everything Macey ◡̈
