Romano House in Catania, open JuneSeptember.

Romano House operates as a working hotel within Catania's historic center, offering couples an alternative to traditional standalone wedding venues by integrating ceremonies and receptions into an active hospitality setting.

The property provides on-site accommodation for 40+ guests across its rooms, eliminating the need for separate hotel blocks and allowing wedding parties to gather under one roof throughout multi-day celebrations.

Located on Via Giovanni di Prima, the venue commands Catania's baroque architecture while maintaining the operational flexibility of a hotel property.

I recently stayed at this hotel during winter season and overall had a positive experience. The Positives: · Room & Comfort: The room felt modern, was a good size, and, importantly, was very warm and cozy, a big plus during the colder weather. · Staff: The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. · Breakfast: The breakfast was adequate and good. If it’s not included in your booking rate, it’s reasonably priced at around €10, which is fair for what’s offered. The One Drawback: The only notable issue was that the shower drain in our room was clogged. If you take a shower for more than a couple of minutes, the water begins to pool and drain very slowly. It’s manageable if you’re quick, but it’s something the maintenance team should address. Aside from the shower drainage problem, this was a comfortable and pleasant stay. I would recommend it, especially for the warmth and modern feel of the rooms. Just be prepared for a potential slow-draining shower.
