The Palace Hotel reopened in May 2012 on the moat of the Imperial Palace in Marunouchi, which is the most central address in Tokyo that still has water and trees outside the window.
It is a family-owned hotel rather than a chain, and the wedding operation is unusually complete for a city property: a chapel filled with daylight and framed on the palace gardens, a Shinto shrine inside the building for a Japanese ceremony, a ballroom, and eight further function rooms for everything around them.
Guests walk to Tokyo Station in about five minutes, which matters more than it sounds when your party is split across hotels and jet-lagged.
Prices run from small chapel ceremonies at around 300,000 yen up past 2,000,000 yen for a full hotel package, so the same building takes a ten-person ceremony and a several-hundred-guest reception.

How many guests can Palace Hotel Tokyo hold?+
The hotel does not publish a wedding capacity. It runs a ballroom and eight further function rooms, which is enough for a reception in the low hundreds, so plan around 250 as a working ceiling and get your room confirmed in writing.
What does a wedding here cost?+
Reported packages run from about 300,000 yen for a small chapel ceremony to more than 2,000,000 yen for a full hotel wedding. That spread reflects guest count and inclusions rather than seasons, and the hotel quotes properly after an enquiry.
Can we have a Shinto ceremony?+
Yes. The hotel has its own Shinto shrine on the premises as well as the chapel, so a Japanese ceremony does not require moving your guests to a separate shrine and back across central Tokyo.
Is the location good for guests flying in?+
It is the best on this list for arrivals. Tokyo Station is a five-minute walk, Haneda is about 30 minutes by car, and the Narita Express runs into the same station, so guests can land and reach the hotel without a transfer.
Is there an outdoor ceremony option?+
Not on hotel land. The chapel frames the palace gardens through glass rather than opening onto them, and the moat and the Imperial Palace East Gardens across the road are public, so outdoor photographs are possible but an outdoor ceremony is not.
