Ocho Artisan Bungalows began as a colonial-era residential property in the 1980s before undergoing a comprehensive restoration in 2015 that transformed it into a boutique hotel destination.

The owners preserved the original architectural bones while introducing artisanal design elements and modern hospitality infrastructure across its 8 individual bungalows.

Situated 200 meters from central Tamarindo, the venue offers an intimate alternative to larger resorts while maintaining access to the beach town's vibrant culture.

Our stay at Ocho Artisan Bungalows was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Ilse and Sue made us feel like family. Their warmth and attention to detail—especially the surprise anniversary room decoration—meant more to us than words can express. Gio, Brian, Vald, Jimmy, and Noemy also added so much joy to our stay with their kindness, hospitality, and incredible service. The bungalows are absolutely stunning—romantic, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed. The pool and bar areas are beautiful and inviting, and the beachfront restaurant offers magical sunset views we’ll never forget. Every corner of the property is impeccably maintained, and you can feel the pride and care behind it all. If you’re looking for a place where you’re genuinely cared for and celebrated, this is it. We can’t wait to return.
