This 12-room boutique hotel occupies a meticulously restored 18th-century palace, featuring period architecture alongside contemporary design.
High ceilings, ornate tilework, and manicured garden courtyards create an intimate urban setting for ceremonies and receptions.
Montecarmos 12 is a minimalist hotel with attention to details, our room was super roomy ( we had 3 huge windows/julliete balcony situation), it felt great to open the windows a bit and let some air in, even though the rain was insane in Lisbon during our stay. Amazing aircon/ac as well. Our room was cleaned daily, still and sparkling water was provided daily as well. The bathroom amenities were great and focused on sustainability with shampoo and conditioner bars, which you can request more in case you need as well, good quality products. The check-in process is super smooth, you can also communicate with the hotel staff via what's app, we asked for more towels during our stay and even asked for recommendation for places to go have the famous "francesinha" and the hotel staff promptly replied to our messages. The best part of our stay was our host, Margarida. She checked us in, offered us some amazing coffee while we "waited" for our room to be ready ( which by the way was ready 5 hs before the standard check in time), there was no "wait" at all. We were initially going to drop off our bags and were surprised our room was waiting for us. Super convenient since we landed super early at LIS. Margarida will greet you daily and make sure your daily breakfast is a delight. My partner and I loved chatting with her daily, she also gave us so many tips during our stay, suggested a place nearby for us to have some "Pasteis de Nata" and overall made us feel at home, truly. On our last day we had to catch a flight super early in the morning and Margarida made sure to provide a breakfast box so we could have some snacks on our way to the airport that morning, we did not even ask for it and she stepped in asking if we would like them to prep that for us. A Nespresso machine was provided so we could have coffee before our flight that morning, trust me, it felt good to have some coffee in our room at 5 am before heading to the airport. The daily breakfast is also a great treat. You place your order the day before and they literally cook your breakfast in front of you daily. I am super picky with coffee and I also loved the coffee they served at breakfast. If you pay attention to details you'll love Montecarmo 12. The hotel is very quiet, perfect for you to rest after exploring lisbon.
