Le Moulin du Château in Saint-Laurent-du-Verdon.

Perched above the Verdon River valley in Provence, Le Moulin du Château commands views across limestone cliffs and medieval stone villages.

This converted 18th-century mill retains its original architecture while offering modern event spaces, with the property situated at 450 meters elevation overlooking dramatic gorge terrain.

The location delivers both intimate garden settings and larger reception areas within restored stone walls.

I generally don’t take the time to write reviews, but good grief!! This was an excellent culinary experience in a homely setting. Imagine, if you will, being invited into the home of a chef - the menu is set, but the food is phenomenal. We experienced an authentic and warming fish dumpling soup, a thoroughly tasty osso bucco, great cheese platter and chocolate-hazelnut mousse. Excellent local wine on offer alongside the full suite of apéritifs (blueberry kir in our case) and digestifs (porto and calvados). If you’re passing through the area take the time to dine. I’m currently convincing my wife to stop here again on our way back to Lyon!
