Yesterday I went for Christmas Lunch at 114 Faubourg and it was perfect. I have been there 4 times and it is always excellent. Today after walking back to my apartment, I called in for a glass of wine and afternoon tea in the lobby area. I was met with a condescending young man gliding around telling me that there would be a 20 minute wait while over half of the tables were empty. I’m sad about this as I love this hotel and I love Paris but it is this attitude that gives the hotel a poor reputation.
