We had booked this hotel with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately, our ferry was officially cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, which made it impossible for us to reach Sardinia. Despite this situation being completely beyond our control, the hotel refused to grant any refund, even partially, strictly referring to their cancellation policy. While we understand that policies exist, in exceptional circumstances such as an official transport suspension, we had hoped for more understanding and flexibility — especially from a 4-star establishment. It was particularly disappointing as other accommodations showed kindness and consideration in the same situation. We hope the hotel will, in the future, show greater empathy when faced with truly unforeseen events.
