La Bastiglia Boutique Hotel SpaRistorante

We are extremely disappointed with our experience at this hotel. We booked our accommodations through MacAdventures and were shocked upon arrival to find our room uncomfortably warm, with the air conditioning unit failing to function properly. The room temperature was 79°F (26°C) or higher, and despite raising the issue with hotel staff, we were told the unit was working—even though it was merely blowing warm air. We were given a tabletop fan to help with the temperature in the room. To make matters worse, the room is located at ground level, directly adjacent to a busy walkway. This not only compromises our privacy, as passersby can see directly into our room, but also raises serious safety concerns. We cannot open the windows for ventilation without feeling exposed or vulnerable. Additionally, the room is situated near garbage bins, which contribute to an unpleasant odor. We requested to be moved to another room and even offered to pay for an upgrade, but were informed the hotel is fully booked. We attempted to find alternative accommodations, but given the late hour, it was not feasible. We are now left hoping that a satisfactory room change will be possible tomorrow—otherwise, we will be checking out. For a hotel that claims four-star status, this experience has been far below expectations. The only redeeming qualities are the location and the view, which unfortunately do not make up for the discomfort and lack of amenities.
