Kew is 300 acres of botanic garden on the Thames in south-west London, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003, and it hires several of its historic buildings for weddings.
The Nash Conservatory is the one couples come for: John Nash built it in the grounds of Buckingham Palace and it was moved to Kew brick by brick in 1836, a white glasshouse with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides that holds 200 guests with the gardens on every side.
The Orangery, William Chambers’ building of 1761, takes dinners and evening receptions, and the Princess of Wales Conservatory adds a glasshouse of a completely different character.
Kew publishes package pricing for larger multi-day celebrations, which is unusual for a venue of this weight: one South Asian wedding package covering the Nash Conservatory, the Princess of Wales Conservatory and the Orangery is listed at £22,000 plus VAT for a Monday to Thursday date.

Asked along the way.
How many guests can marry at Kew Gardens?+
The Nash Conservatory holds up to 200 guests, which is the largest of Kew’s wedding spaces. The Orangery and the Princess of Wales Conservatory take receptions and dinners, and smaller ceremonies use the other licensed rooms.
What does a Kew wedding cost?+
Kew publishes packages rather than a single hire fee. One South Asian wedding package taking the Nash Conservatory, the Princess of Wales Conservatory and the Orangery is listed at £22,000 plus VAT for Monday to Thursday dates outside bank holidays.
Is Cambridge Cottage available?+
No. Kew has closed Cambridge Cottage for refurbishment from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027, so couples looking at dates in that window should plan around the Nash Conservatory and the Orangery instead.
Can guests stay at Kew?+
There is no accommodation in the gardens. Guests stay in Richmond and Kew village, five to fifteen minutes away, or in central London, which is about thirty minutes by Underground from Kew Gardens station.
Do wedding guests get access to the gardens?+
Yes, access to the gardens forms part of the hire, and photographs are taken among the glasshouses, the Palm House lake and the arboretum. Public opening hours shape the timing, so build the schedule with the events team.
How do guests reach Kew?+
Kew Gardens station is on the District line and the London Overground, about thirty minutes from central London and a five-minute walk from the Victoria Gate. Heathrow is roughly half an hour by car.
