Honestly such an excellent experience. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. It’s a historic property and should be explored. The pool is gorgeous and relaxing and deep! You can hang out at the bar or get service right to your pool lounger or cabana. It’s the Best place to hang after a bicycle ride around the extensive bike paths on the island. You don’t need a car at all once you get here! Bikes are available to rent right on property. There are multiple “cottages,” really mansions, that were from the turn of the 20th century when this was a hunting getaway for big wealth. They appear to be used for venues now on the property. So great to see that these historical places along Georgia’s coast be preserved and used! Emphasis on used bs becoming a museum piece. Jekyll is honestly the best island state park in Georgia. The Jekyll Island Authority has done a phenomenal job as stewards keeping this island as it should be.
