Hotel Plaza Opéra occupies a historic building in central Palermo, where Belle Époque architecture frames views of the surrounding Sicilian streetscape.
The property sits steps from the Teatro Politeama and the region's cultural landmarks, offering a urban setting steeped in 19th-century elegance.
Guests experience the intensity and character of Palermo's historic quarter, with immediate access to the city's baroque piazzas and Mediterranean energy.
Good location, nice staff, breakfast OK (continental buffet plus a few hot items although the hot plate never worked so cooked tomatoes, etc were cold by the time we got to them!). Restaurant/bar on top floor had views and was good but seemed costly - but we did have a few (excellent) cocktails! Room was modern, well equipped and clean with a very comfortable bed and effective air conditioning. We were fortunate to have a balcony but it never got swept. Can't comment on value as it was part of a deal.
