I had a very pleasant stay at the Occidental Faro. The hotel looks a bit less exciting exteriorly, but inside - it's elegant and clean. The staff members greeted with a smile and were helpful settling us in. The room was fairly clean, with little notes of wear and tear visible, but mostly had a feel of great standard. The bed was comfortable, plenty of sockets, a decently sized balcony, mini fridge, coffee station, good Aircon. The hotel has a bar/restaurant on the top floor, which is open to public. It is well known spot for sunset watching, so good to get there earlier to get a good spot. The bar offers a great variety of drinks. This is also where breakfast is served, which was very good - buffet style, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sunny side up eggs, cheeses, meats, fruits, cereal, etc - variety of regular breakfast items. The location is superb as well, plenty of little cafes/bistro places on the doorstep, everything is walkable distance (as most of Faro is, I guess). All in all, a great place!
