Our stay wasn’t bad, but a few factors kept it from being a 5-star experience. We chose this hotel for a splurge during a road trip, and while it has great qualities, it didn't quite live up to the premium expectation. The Positives: Location: Excellent and centrally located. It's a quick trip to Lambeau Field, the River Walk, and Door County. Staff: The front desk team was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and professional. The bar staff also gets 5 stars for being super accommodating filling our water bottles up with fresh ice and water. Areas for Improvement: Security: Anyone can walk into the hotel and use the elevators without a key card. On two separate nights, we witnessed or experienced uncomfortable encounters with non-guests lingering in the lobby/asking for money. While the manager assured us security was on speed dial, the open-door vibe felt a bit unsafe. The Room: As someone over 6'0", I appreciated the high shower head, but the water pressure was incredibly weak, and the shower door wouldn't close completely. Additionally, the "king" bed felt noticeably short and small—my feet were practically off the bed all night. Service Disconnect: The service at the breakfast and the in-hotel restaurant felt a bit inattentive and "off," almost as if the staff prioritized short-stay business travelers over leisure guests. We aren't looking for anything free, but we wanted to share honest feedback. It was a decent stay, but we likely wouldn't return to this specific location.
