Our 4-night winter stay as a family of five was exactly what we needed. Despite a few negative reviews we had read beforehand (which made us a bit nervous), everything turned out to be great. The hotel offers excellent value for money. Breakfast was generous and very good, and we were genuinely impressed by how friendly and smiling the staff were during breakfast service -especially considering our large, noisy group with many kids. The rooms were warm and functional, though the carpets could be cleaner or possibly replaced. There are plenty of activities in the area, and a great traditional tavern just 3 minutes away. The only negative experience was the swimming pool, which had an excessive amount of chlorine and caused serious eye irritation for our children. Thankfully, eye drops and burn cream solved the issue. Overall, a very pleasant stay that we would recommend.
