The hotel is RIPE for the taking! It has great history and bones of an old monastery and the rooms are spacious with amazing grounds/scenery. The interiors leave much to be desired, however, consisting of old, beat up and outdated furniture/art, odd layouts, and missing key elements such as nice seating areas in the room. The beds are fine but you could really see how much opportunity there is in a spot like this (e.g. bigger pool/poolside area, updated facilities for spa, lounge/lobby, poolside dining and bar, gym, etc., etc.). With new investors/owners this place can be top notch though is a great deal for now. The location is wonderful as well: a close, safe, and easy walk to one of the nearby beaches and a quick drive to Begur. We stayed with our 6 month old and were very comfortable. Lots of places nearby won’t allow kids.
