Hacienda de los Morales in Polanco, open February – May.
Los Morales is a sixteenth-century hacienda that Mexico City grew around.
It sits in Polanco now, behind walls, with its stone arcades, courtyards and old trees intact, and it has been the city’s principal wedding address for generations of Mexican families.
Fourteen rooms across three levels take everything from a 60-person dinner to a reception of a thousand; the largest is about 6,100 square feet.
Ceremonies happen in the courtyards under the trees, and dinner moves indoors to the ballrooms, which is what makes it work in a city at 2,240 metres where an evening in January is genuinely cold.

Asked along the way.
How many guests can Hacienda de los Morales hold?+
Up to 1,000. The venue has fourteen rooms across three levels; the largest is about 6,100 square feet and the second about 5,685, with a standing capacity of 1,000. Smaller courtyards and rooms take dinners of 60 upward, so the hacienda scales in both directions.
Is there accommodation at the hacienda?+
No. Los Morales is a restaurant and event property with no rooms. Guests stay in Polanco, five to fifteen minutes away, or on Reforma, where the international hotel blocks are. That is normal for a Mexico City wedding and adds a transport line to the budget.
What does a wedding here cost?+
Reported wedding packages run roughly $150 to $350 USD per guest including a multi-course meal, open bar and basic decor, with event totals commonly quoted between $15,000 and $25,000 USD before flowers, music and photography. Confirm current pricing with the venue.
Does the altitude affect guests?+
Mexico City sits at about 2,240 metres. Guests arriving from sea level feel it on the first day, and alcohol works faster than they expect. Evenings from November to February are cold, so an outdoor ceremony needs a plan for jackets or heaters.
How do guests get there?+
Mexico City International (MEX) is roughly 30 to 50 minutes away depending on traffic, and it has more international routes than any other airport in the country. Polanco hotels are a short drive from the hacienda, but allow far more time than the map suggests on a weekday evening.
