This hotel was built in 1905 so it's a typical French "walk-up-the-stairs" type of place. Don't complain! Enjoy the experience!So, no lift or elevator, however, it's smack dab in the middle of Villedieu-les-Poêles, across from the Bar au Centre and there's a large, free car park behind. Tuesday morning there is a market on the street in front (so thank heavens for that car park behind or you'll get a substantial fine leaving your car on a Monday night.) There is a formule lunch restaurant and bar on site, a substantial buffet breakfast is available (but we opted for the market offering.) The owner is an absolutely charming woman and very helpful with suggestions about the town and its history. I'd certainly visit again!
