Grande Albergo traces its origins to the early 20th century as a seaside mansion overlooking the Ligurian coast, later transformed into a luxury hotel that has hosted distinguished guests for over a century.
The property underwent comprehensive restoration in the 2000s, preserving its Belle Époque architecture while integrating modern amenities.
Today, it stands as a refined coastal venue commanding panoramic views of the Tigullio Gulf from its clifftop position in Sestri Levante.
The hotel is located perfectly just across the street from the private beach. Yes - the rooms are super outdated and need a renovation, the bathrooms are renovated at least. Still, the rooms were very clean and I slept well. You shouldn’t expect a luxury resort but a solid Italian hotel. Breakfast was good with varieties of food like focaccia, fresh fruit, vegetables and of course the standard European breakfast stuff. The staff was friendly and check-in and check-out was quick and easy. All in all I had a very pleasant stay and will return to Sestri Levante for sure.
