“Grand” is certainly the word to describe this hotel. We rented a junior suite on the 3rd floor which included a living room attached to the bedroom and together with the vaulted ceilings, the room was very spacious. The room was at the corner of the building which allowed for 3 tall windows, one of which had a small balcony with an excellent city view. The drapes were beautiful blackout curtains and the décor was luxurious. The bathroom was spacious with jack and jill sinks, a large rain shower, and bidet. The cosmetics were luscious. We enjoyed the nightly turn down service. The hotel is beautiful from entry to lobby to rooms to the bar and breakfast areas, very tidy and handsome. We felt very safe in this area and especially in the hotel. The staff was very helpful both before and during our stay and helped us to secure a private guide and transfer services. The lobby staff spoke excellent English. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of cooked eggs and meats, cold cuts and cheese, cereals, yogurt and grains, fresh pastries and breads, and fruit and vegetables along with a coffee bar. We ate too much every day! Location is excellent with only a couple minute walk in either direction to reach the pedestrian areas, shopping, restaurants and points of interest. It is not walkable from the train station to the hotel with luggage so we took a transfer service directly from the hotel to the airport and back. We did not use the spa services as these were an additional charge. The hotel might consider wrapping in a sauna session as part of the room package. There are only very minor things I can ask the hotel to improve upon… Though the hotel is a fantastic location to the pedestrian walkway and old city—it is on a busy street corner. The drapes help buffer some sound—but it is a loud room, especially on weekend nights. Knowing this, the hotel might provide ear plugs in the cosmetic kits. With the spaciousness of the room, the living area needs a coffee table. There were not enough surfaces to layout both our business work and our vacation maps. The room was freshly painted but the furniture textiles were a bit dingy and could use a refresh. The bathroom floor was gorgeous black marble but the matching bathroom countertop had not been resurfaced and showed water stains. The shower walls could use a refresh as there was some mold. There were some renovations on other floors taking place while we were there which didn’t affect our use of the hotel, so these might be items that the hotel has already identified to update. Wifi was decent, not great
