Can we buy out the resort for our wedding?+
No. With 383 rooms this is not a buyout property, so your guests share the pools, the beach and the restaurants with other visitors. Book a room block early and expect a private site for the ceremony and dinner rather than a private resort.
How do we get legally married in Hawaii?+
Both of you apply in person to a state-appointed marriage licence agent on the island, with photo identification. There is no waiting period and no residency or citizenship requirement, and the licence is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.

April to June and September to early November are the driest and least crowded stretches. Wailea sits on the leeward side and stays dry most of the year, though the trade winds pick up in the afternoon, which matters for candles, veils and outdoor sound.
Which airport do guests fly into for Wailea?+
Kahului, on the north side of Maui, about 35 minutes by car. It takes direct flights from the US mainland west coast, and connections through Honolulu for everything else. Rental cars book out fast in high season.
