Our primary reason for choosing this hotel was for the beach (Simos Beach) which is one of the best not just in Greece but the world (pristine waters, soft white sand everywhere; no seaweed or stones/rocks anywhere). However, after staying here a week, my primary reason for coming back may just be Double Bay Beach Hotel. We have been enthralled by the cleanliness and service. The breakfast buffet is the stuff of legends. Their kitchen (for ordering a la carte) is outstanding. My son is a very picky eater and he had no trouble trying new things here. There is a flippin' EVSE (EV charger) on the premises, possibly the only one on the island, what else does one need? The rooms live up to the 4-star rating and are decked out with everything one can possibly need during a stay including bathrobes, slippers, and even a small hideaway kitchen (for families). The pool, much like the rest of the property, is sparkling clean. The staff will make you feel at home and like family (without any of the family drama). The barista makes outstanding espresso drinks (with latte art no less!) so I'm very impressed! We check out tomorrow and I'm already thinking "how soon is too soon to return?".
