Château deFonscolombe

I spent New Year's Eve at Château de Fonscolombe with family and it exceeded my expectations. The château itself is an 18th-century beauty, and the grounds are absolutely stunning. Walking through the historic gardens with the chapel, you really feel the history of the place. Inside, the décor strikes just the right balance—elegant and authentic without feeling stuffy or overdone. Our rooms were beautiful just like the public spaces which have been restored with taste and care. But what really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was professional yet warm, which isn't always the case in today's 5 star hotels. I have to give a special call out to Mademoiselle Juliette, who took care of us during the New Year's Eve dinner at La Table de l'Orangerie. She was absolutely wonderful—attentive, charming, and made sure every detail of our evening was perfect. As for the dinner itself, the chef and his team delivered a flawless performance. Every course was beautifully executed, and you could tell they put their heart into making it a memorable night for all the guests. If you're looking for a really special place to stay in Provence, I can't recommend Château de Fonscolombe enough. It's true hospitality with class. One tip: As the public spaces of such a traditional building cannot be easily heated, think of a second layer for the colder months. The rooms were easy to heat though. Looking forward to coming back.
