The 13th-century estate spans multiple levels with indoor and outdoor spaces, so weather won't derail your timeline.
Stone walls and period architecture provide authentic backdrop without requiring heavy decoration.
A stunning and well-preserved castle. While not particularly large, its simplicity adds to its charm. The hike to reach it took about 45 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. There is an alternative route for those arriving by car, but I opted to walk for a more authentic experience. The view of Lake Como was indescribable! Visited in September. Entry was €7.

Asked along the way.
Can we have both ceremony and reception at the castle?+
Yes. The venue offers multiple indoor and outdoor spaces across different levels. Ceremonies typically occur on the upper terraces or in historic rooms, while receptions use larger halls or lower grounds.
Is the castle accessible for elderly guests or those with mobility challenges?+
The castle's medieval architecture means uneven terrain, stairs, and varying elevations. Discuss specific accessibility needs directly with the venue when inquiring.
What is the nearest airport?+
Milano Malpensa (MXP) is approximately 90 km away, with a 90–120 minute drive depending on traffic. Como-Brunate Airport is closer but handles fewer flights.
Are there hotels nearby for guests?+
Varenna, 10 minutes away by car, has multiple hotels and guesthouses. Bellagio and Como town also offer options within 20–30 minutes.
What catering options are available?+
The venue works with external caterers or can recommend regional providers. Some packages include wine from the estate's own production.
