Casale il Saùco in Santa Maria di Castellabate, open May–August.
Casale il Saùco sits on the Cilento coast near Santa Maria di Castellabate, a restored rural estate where terraced gardens and Mediterranean scrubland slope toward the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Seven stone-built residences form an intimate cluster around shared courtyards and a 120-square-meter common hall, anchoring a property designed for small, gathered celebrations rather than sprawling receptions.
The landscape combines working agricultural land—fig groves, local dairy operations—with the practical infrastructure of a functioning agriturismo.
Great accommodations for our large family group. Beautiful villa with a wonderful enclosed yard. Location was perfect for our group as we could easily walk to coffee shops in the morning, the beach (Lido dal Pincio), Conad for groceries and into town for restaurants, gelato and shopping. We also walked into town to catch the 1 euro bus up to Castellabate with beautiful views of the area. Villa had A/C, washers, and stocked kitchens. Wifi could be a little stronger. Overall I would definitely recommend!

Asked along the way.
Can we hold a ceremony on the property?+
Yes. Civil ceremonies can be arranged on-site pending local authority approval, or booked at nearby municipal venues in Castellabate or Santa Maria di Castellabate, a short drive away. For religious ceremonies, historic churches are located in both towns.
What if it rains on our wedding day?+
The venue has a 120-square-meter covered common hall and additional indoor spaces that can host up to 50 guests comfortably. Weather contingency planning is discussed during the booking process.
Do we have to use your in-house caterer?+
No. Casale il Saùco works with external catering partners starting at €100 per person but does not require exclusive vendor relationships. You can bring your own approved suppliers or request recommendations for local professionals.
Is the property accessible for guests with mobility challenges?+
The estate is a restored rural property with some uneven surfaces and steps. Selected accommodation and main event spaces are accessible with assistance. We recommend discussing specific accessibility needs in advance so we can arrange suitable accommodations.
What experiences or activities can we arrange for guests?+
The venue can organize boat tours, visits to local dairy farms, fig production estate tours, wine tastings, and excursions to nearby UNESCO World Heritage sites. These are arranged as add-ons beyond the venue fee.
