Originally a merchant's residence, the property underwent extensive renovation to preserve its architectural heritage while introducing contemporary luxury amenities.
Today it stands as a boutique hotel and destination wedding venue that honors its past through original stonework, arched doorways, and courtyards while offering modern event capabilities.
We had an amazing stay at Casa Lola. From the delicious restaurant to the beautiful rooms, I definitely recommend a stay here. The service was great especially Jailer at the front desk who was so helpful and welcoming. Everyone remembered us throughout our stay and always greeted us in passing. The rooms were beautiful a den they even upgraded us for free which was an amazing surprise that added to our experience. The only thing travelers should be aware of is that it is located in a very lively area. The bars are very loud from 12-4 am and it was often hard to sleep because of the loud music at night. That being said, that is not the fault of the hotel and just the burden of staying so close to all the action in Cartagena. Everything is within 5 minutes walk which is both a blessing and a curse. Despite the loud music I would still recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cozy and beautiful place to stay with amazing staff and a great restaurant just downstairs from your room.
